Lorne Borgal
In the resort development and real estate worlds, Lorne Borgal is well known for his achievements as President and CEO of Whistler Mountain, Chairman of the Whistler Resort Association, and, subsequently, President and CEO of Horseshoe Resort in Ontario. With an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Lorne has also had an impressive career in business management software marketing and support. As a discriminating skier and entrepreneur, Lorne fell in love with the Hudson Bay Mountain experience—he called it the “unWhistler”—on his very first visit.
Gary K. Matheisen
Gary Mathiesen, a Chartered Accountant, is President of Quay Property Management Corp., and its related group of companies. Gary is also the President or CFO of 3 public companies. Gary has over thirty years business experience in a wide variety of industries, strong financial management and expertise in tax planning, contract negotiations, mediation and settlements, corporate restructuring as well as having had many successful business start-ups through extensive research and planning. Gary is an avid skier and has always been keen to be involved in resort management at some point in his business career. He is excited about the opportunity that Hudson Bay Mountain brings.
Alfredo Hermano
Alfredo Hermano holds a Bachelor of Technology in Construction Management and brings extensive experience in construction to Hudson Bay Mountain. As the owner of Alcahe Ventures Inc. and a founding partner in Maintain My Place Services Inc, Alfredo has completed many projects in construction and development with clients including No 1 Collision Centres, London Drugs Retail Stores, Cineplex Entertainment Group and the Westin Bayshore Resort & Marina. Alfredo's love of the outdoors and respect for the generous community spirit of Smithers will be reflected in his sincere desire to become a contributing member of the community.
Harry Measure
Harry Measure, Principal of Harry Measure & Associates and C.E.O and Founder of The Seer Company, is widely known for his expertise in planning, architecture and environmental design for destination resorts, from infrastructure planning through the approval process. He has over 25 years experience in mountain resort architecture, engineering, planning and construction resulting in over 120 completed projects. In leading the development plan for Hudson Bay Mountain Estates, Harry brings a long and impressive experience that includes resort communities from Alaska to Argentina. As varied as they are, his projects always have one thing in common: a strong sense of place that is the foundation of a vibrant and successful community.
Bulkley Valley Engineering Services Ltd.
Bulkley Valley Engineering Services Ltd. is a small engineer consulting firm in Smithers. They are dedicated to being a community based business that plays a role in developing the local capacity and infrastructure needed for strong and resilient communities in northern BC.
