The Hudson Bay Mountain Estates Development Team
This exceptional project has enjoyed the support and input of many people and organizations in and around Smithers who know this mountain best.
It is equally the result of an exceptional team of business leaders who have stewarded the development from vision through approval to reality. Before dreams of living in the alpine wilderness can come true, the land must be assembled, a master plan developed, zoning obtained, financing arranged and marketing programs organized. Led by President and CEO Lorne Borgal, this outstanding team has the substantial experience and expertise required to create Hudson Bay Mountain Resort and Estates.
Lorne Borgal
In the resort development and real estate worlds, Lorne Borgal is well known for his achievements as President and CEO of Whistler Mountain, Chairman of the Whistler Resort Association, and, subsequently, President and CEO of Horseshoe Resort in Ontario. With an MBA from the Stanford Graduate School of Business, Lorne has also had an impressive career in business management software marketing and support. As a discriminating skier and entrepreneur, Lorne fell in love with the Hudson Bay Mountain experience—he called it the “unWhistler”—on his very first visit.
